Safety is always our top priority. Our activities are designed to provide a safe experience where you can challenge yourself safely. Here are the most important things you need to know before you hit the high ropes course.
To participate in our high-altitude courses, the following criteria must be met:
Maximum weight: 120 kg
You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
You must not be pregnant
You should not have serious heart, neck or back problems
The requirements are in place to minimize risks and to ensure your safety when moving high above ground. If you are unsure whether the high ropes course is right for you – please ask our staff on site or contact us before your visit.
Important to know:
These requirements only apply to the high ropes course. Our other activities, such as team challenges and outdoor escape games, have different requirements.
In our high-altitude courses, we use height limits instead of age limits. This is because the courses are built for reach, grip and safe handling of the equipment – not for age.
Length limits can vary between parks, and some parks have dedicated children’s or low-level lanes where adults can support from the ground.
We generally recommend that:
An adult climbs together with children shorter than about 144 cm
Younger children get extra support and encouragement – both from the ground and from our instructors
For more details on length limits, children’s courses and responsibilities, see frequently asked questions further down the page.
All our parks are staffed by trained and experienced instructors who are on hand to guide you through the whole experience. Before the activity begins, you will receive a clear safety briefing where we go through the equipment, rules and how the courses work, so you feel safe right from the start.
While you are climbing or participating in the activities, our instructors are always nearby. They’ll keep an eye out, answer questions, help out if needed and make sure safety is maintained throughout the experience. If anything feels unsafe, unfamiliar or challenging, just let us know – we’ll be there to support, encourage and help you progress at your own pace.
Whether it’s your first time climbing or you need extra reassurance, our staff are on hand to make sure the experience is safe and memorable.
All our activities take place outdoors, in the heart of nature. With the right clothing and packing, you’ll get more out of the experience – whatever the weather and activity.
Dress for an active day in the forest.
We recommend:
Comfortable training or outdoor clothing
Sneakers or similar shoes with good grip
Layers upon layers in colder weather
Long hair updo
Clothing should allow you freedom of movement and be comfortable throughout the activity.
For your safety, the following applies:
Shoes should fit firmly on the foot
Shoes must cover the whole foot
Sandals, slippers and open shoes are not allowed
Stable shoes with good grip make a big difference, especially on the high altitude track.
Remove jewelry and piercings before the activity
New piercings can be taped with sports tape (we are happy to help)
Leave loose valuables at home or in your car
Mobile phones can be taken for photos and videos when standing still on a platform, but should otherwise be kept safe.
Gloves are mandatory in the high altitude course – both for grip and to protect the hands.
Gloves can be purchased when booking or on site
You can also bring your own gloves
Make the adventure a full day! Bring a picnic and sit down at one of our cozy seats in the forest – before or after the climb.
Many of our parks are also set in beautiful countryside with great walking routes – perfect for a walk in the woods with family or friends.
From Ängelholm to Stockholm – adventure is never far away. Select your park to see address details, contact details and more information.
The park is located in the Skatås exercise center area. If you are parked or on foot, pass the Skatås exercise center and continue towards the ski club. Keep right at the first turn after passing the ski club and continue in the direction of the road until you see gravel courts (volleyball courts).
Walk past the gravel pitches and keep them on your left while walking towards the forest where you will eventually see our UPZONE signs. From the parking lot it is about 650m and takes about 10 minutes to walk. You will find the check-in in our container where we then walk together up to our high altitude tracks in the forest.
To see the current prices, the easiest way to start your booking is to use our booking module. You can find it on our website HERE.

The season usually runs from April to October. Opening hours vary between the parks – see current availability in each park’s booking calendar. However, many of our themed activities can be carried out indoors, please contact us if you are interested in booking outside our opening hours.
Can’t find a time that suits you? Contact us and we will see if we can open up a time for you.
Yes, we do. For larger groups – such as companies, school classes or groups – we can often open up on request, both for high altitude courses and team activities.
Our courses are built according to how far you can reach – not how many years you are. For the experience to be both fun and safe, the participant needs to be able to reach and handle the obstacles well. That’s why we use height limits instead of age.
Length limits per park:
In Gothenburg, Sollentuna and Ängelholm, at least one adult climbing per party is required.
In Borås, Kalmar and Skövde we have a lower track for smaller children – here adults can join the ground and support.
In general, we recommend that an adult climbs together with children under 144 cm. This provides extra support when getting on and off, ziplining and when the courage needs strengthening.
From about 11 years of age, many children usually manage the courses themselves, but a little pep from the ground is always welcome.
Yes! Climbing in Upzone’s high-altitude courses is approved as a wellness activity by the Swedish Tax Agency, and is therefore tax-free for you as an employee.
Please note: the health care allowance only applies to the employee, not to other family members on the same receipt.
We cooperate with, among others:
Dress for the weather and a day in the woods. Training or outdoor clothes and sneakers are ideal.
Changing and shower facilities are limited – please come changed. Toilets are available in most parks.
Yes! Picnics are almost standard with us. Just keep in mind that seating can be limited – feel free to bring a blanket or mat.
It varies between the parks. Today there are barbecue areas in Borås, Gothenburg, Kalmar and Ängelholm, for example.
Of course you can. Accompanying persons are very welcome – contact our booking center and we will help you arrange the visit in the best way.
Yes, dogs are welcome in our parks – but should always be on a leash and able to walk away if necessary.
